Preparation for blocks can take place all year round. In this short video I will share a competition rehearsal that I encourage coached to practice with their athletes. If started early enough in the season the need to count will not be required as the athletes will operate automatically.

    Hi dwain what's your take on sprints with a weighted vest?

    • @DwainChambers
      @DwainChambers 5 месяцев назад

      Ok to use during GDP (general development phase) / when doing pre season training. Once you enter into GSP (general specific phase / SPP (sports specific phase), then the use of a weighted vest will not be required as it isn't specific to the sport of discipline you're preparing for.

      @@DwainChambers ok thanks, but I pulled my hamstring sprinting 60 meters with it only 3kg vest I used. But it seemed awkward. I did hill sprint 2 days before using the weight vest. Do you think it maybe throw off my mechanics causing the injury? Many thanks

    Ben Johnson would squat 250kg and could do 700 lbs that's phenomenal for a guy who only weighed 75kg Dwain was on steroids too people say it was only Ben's drugs but any guy could take drugs and not be about to do that, especially at a light middleweight frame, it was his unique physiology, basically almost pure white muscle fibre

    I have a question and nobody already answer me yet : When running do we have to move our arms faster or try to move them faster or even think to move them faster ? Same at the block start should we leave the block start by moving the arm really fast or. Take out time ?
